Food Booth Maintenance Schedule

We've begun getting the Food Booth ready for the upcoming fair.  Work parties are tentatively scheduled for:

- 8:00 AM July 5
- 8:00 AM July 10
- 8:00 AM July 11
- 8:00 AM July 12
- 8:00 AM August 2
- 8:00 AM August 9

We need help getting the Food Booth ready to go.  Most days we'll only work until noon or so.  Coffee and cold beverages will be provided.  E-mails will be sent out in advance letting you know what kind of work we have scheduled for each day.

Food Handler Card Class

Representatives from the Grant County Health District will hold a Food Handlers class before the July 2nd meeting.  We need all members who do not have Food Handler cards, or have cards that will expire before the fair to attend.  The cost of the training will be picked up by the club.  You will need to bring a photo ID.

The training will start at 6:00 PM, July 2nd at the Grange Hall.  Take advantage of the opportunity and get or renew your health card.

Workers needed for Fair

The 2008 Grant County Fair is just a few weeks away.  Lion Nayda Littlefield is putting together the schedule.  We need workers for all shifts every day.  We also need Day Chairmen for some days.

This is our biggest fundraiser for the year.  It is also one of the most fun things we do all year.  Our success will determine the projects and causes we can support for the remaining of the year.  Please contact Lion Nayda and tell her what shifts you can work.  Workers will be provided with fair and parking passes.

July 16 Meeting Announcement

On July 16th we will meet at 8:00 PM at the Moses Lake Surf-n-Slide Aquatic Center.  We have the Center for the entire evening and will be bringing in chicken, potato salad and other picnic fare.  We're turning the evening into an impromptu "Invite a Friend" event.  So, bring the kids, invite your friends and neighbors and their kids.  We'll be calling around and getting a head count before the event so we know how much food to bring.
